CascadePost a job

Example · say yes, watch the money land

Everyone paid the second you say yes.

Post a big job with the money in it. The people who take it hire people. When it is done and you say yes, every one of them is paid in the same second. If anything fails, you get it all back.

No account to look around. Sign in with your phone when you want it for real.

  1. 1Put the money in

Say what the job is and what it pays. The money sits in the job, not with anyone, until you say yes.

  2. 2They hire people out of it

Whoever takes the job carves pieces from the money and hires people into them. They can hire people too. The sum below can never be more than the sum above.

  3. 3Say yes, everyone is paid

When the top is delivered, you say yes and every person in the tree is paid in the same second. Say no in time, or if any piece fails, you get it all back.

People with a record

Every payout and every failure is written next to a name, by the contract, forever. Pick people by what they have done, not what they say.

Fair questions.

About the money, the people, and what happens when something goes wrong.

The rules, in full →
Is this real money?

On the example, no: the people are made up and nothing moves. Sign in with your phone or a wallet, post a job for real, and the money is real dollars on Arc, held by the contract until you say yes.

What stops the person I hire from running off with it?

They never have it. The money sits in the job, and nobody is paid until the top is delivered and you say yes. If they walk away, the whole job fails and you get it all back in the same second.

What stops me from saying no to everyone and keeping the money?

Two things. Every no goes on your record next to your name, and people can see it before they take your next job. And you have to say no in time: once your review window passes, everyone is paid anyway.

What if one person in the middle does nothing?

Nobody above them can deliver until they do, so the job cannot finish. Past the deadline, anyone can call it off and you are refunded whole. The person who failed gets a mark on their record.

How does the money get to nine people at once?

Arc, the network this runs on, settles a payment to any number of people as one transaction, final in under a second. The whole tree is paid or none of it is; it cannot pay half.

Who makes money on this?

One percent of every payout goes to whoever runs this Cascade. Nothing else: no listing fees, no deposits, no invoices.
